The amount of love that has blossomed due to the pandemic has been a testimony that humankind can find the good in anything. Julianna and Albert are not the only of my couples to have met during the crazy times of 2020, but they left a very special impression on me.

I was so thankful my husband embarked on this wedding with me, as our navigation brought us on a dirt road that was nothing short of 4-wheeling through the Rockies. I have no idea if this was the easiest way to get to where the wedding was, but it was the route it took us.

We pulled up to a mountain-lumbar yard where a small barn sat nestled in a valley. The tall trees and golden light of the evening matched the warm and inviting tones of the wedding day. Julliana and Albert planned a small gathering of around 30 people to witness their genuine and sweet love for one another. With God at the complete center, my heart was full of pure happiness capturing them saying their vows. The entire wedding was DIY; even the minimalist perfection of a dress was purchased from a small shop on Etsy (notice the twirl and pockets, ugh... so good!).

I tried a few new techniques for this wedding. The “reflection” images were done by holding an iPhone up underneath my camera to reflect the tops of the trees and the sun flares. Cody also convinced me to break out the good ol’ 85mm f.1.2. Its a beautiful lens, just not one I normally use.

I am so happy for you Julianna and Albert! Your love is a testimony that God can make love win, even in what seems to be impossible times to find your soulmate.
